New to the Video Library: Influenza: A Disease at the Interface between Animals and Humans
Earlier this month, Associate Dean and Professor of Veterinary Medicine Chris Olsen delivered a talk to Madison-area learners titled Influenza: A Disease at the Interface between Animals and Humans.
Viruses know nothing of nations and require neither passport nor permission to cross borders. With increased travel and trade, an epidemic anywhere in the world becomes a point of concern everywhere. Research universities are uniquely positioned to address the complexities and challenges that come with this phase of globalization. And UW-Madison boasts some of the world’s greatest experts on the subject.
The talk was part of the Global Hot Spots series. Global Hotspots is sponsored by the Division of International Studies and the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
